Vintage Overview
2023 started with a hard spring frost leaving lighter crop yields and secondary fruit. Slightly cooler spring but warm summer yielded less ripe flavors in Traminette but more typical flavors for Vidal.

Winemaking
The grapes were frozen for five months immediately after harvesting. Then, the frozen grapes were pressed in the extreme cold to extract the luscious nectar. In this process, the water content in each grape remains frozen in crystals, leaving only a few coveted drops of concentrated, intense liquid. The must was fermented in tank to 11.25% alcohol volume, preserving 152 g/L of residual sugar. The wine was then aged in tank sur lie and bottled in June 2024.
